4-wheelin' on Christmas day

Stuck.

Jimmy, unsticking.

Boys like 4-wheeling.

Beast is loose!

Jimmy wears mud well.

Quite a rut.

If you followed me on Blogger, you may recall my saying that I wanted to do better at shooting daily life stuff, and not shooting only when I had a job.  I was hoping to regain some of that excitement I had for photography as a student.  So, I vowed to shoot more and post some of that on my blog.  This is one of those entries.

Christmas day found us stuck in town, unable to visit my out-of-town inlaws because of a winter storm.  So, we made the best of it by getting together with my sister and brother-in-law.  Now winter storms may be bad for travel, but not if you own a lifted, heavy-treaded Toyota Land Cruiser.  Jimmy bought this beast a few months back and has been taking every advantage of the snowfall this year.

We loaded the boys into the LC and went to see if we could stick it up.  It didn't take too long.  The snow was incredibly wet and heavy.  And when we put it in a hole, it took some digging to release it again.  It was great.  Mud and snow flying, boys grinning and the LC groaning and snorting.  So, I got a offroad experience for Christmas!

Your brother-in-law sounds moderately awesome.
