Strong Odors - graphic design

I'm a sucker for good imagery - all the more if there's a good story behind it.  Today I hopped onto www.strongodors.com and saw what designer Troy Deshano had created recently.  You gotta bookmark this guy--he's cranking out sweet designs like its going out of style - but it is totally in style!

This piece is part of a growing project about Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  The "U.P." is a wonderful place to visit.  It's a little time-warped, but in a cozy, refreshing way--not a depressing one.  Yes, life is a bit slower there, the streets a bit quieter and the views are a bit prettier.  My lovely wife grew up there.  It's just plain great.

Anyway...  Troy told a story around the campfire a few years ago about all the things he smoked when he was a kid.  The list is a lot less scandalous than you think.  This piece recalls his tugging smoke from the end of his cap gun as a kid, exhaling, and feeling a wave of coolness wash over him.  Such a great little boy moment.

Keep an eye on this guy.  And if you need off-the-beaten-path design work done, I'm willing to wager he's your guy.
